Product Description:
Nomadic Subterfuges in Indo-Luso- Hispanic Narratives is a compilation of selected papers presented at the "International Graduate Conference on Art and Literature from Conflict Zones in India, Spain, and Latin America" on 26th and 27th October 2021. Conflict zones in today's world include struggles around racial, ethnic, and gender identities through climate change, global economic earthquakes, genocides, displacement, homelessness, and mass exodus across unstable geopolitical borders. These struggles push personal relationships to become increasingly political as they get entangled with global and communitarian ones; art and literature around global/local spaces of activism and critical thinking have today become the most influential ways of building solidarities through injustice, criminality, abandonment, and despair. Likewise, the program of the conference highlighted these ideas based on generic categories of different kinds of art, via written, visual, digital, and performance-based actionable thinking modes, enabling a bird's eye view of how the conflict zones were perceived, experienced, and articulated with varying degrees of grappling with words, ideas, colors, bodies, and other tools.
